What you can to expect to experience and learn

• Experience hands on activities and show-and-tell equipment

• Engage the senses: Taste honey, smell beeswax and touch pollen

• Learn the science behind honeybees and their colony

• Understand the relationship between humans, honeybees and our food web

• "Bee" inspired by the importance of pollinators in the earths's ecosystem

Cost

1.5 hour Field Trip

• Recommended for ages 11-16

• Base Price: Up to 15 students: $140 +tax

• Additional students (25 max per class): $7.00 each +tax

• Includes a trip to the bee yard to see live bees! Weather permitting.

• Teachers, support staff, parents: Free

 

60 minute Field Trip

• Recommended for ages 7-11

• Base Price: Up to 10 students: $80 +tax

• Additional students (20 max per class): $7.00 each +tax

• Includes a trip to the bee yard to see a hive set up (no live bees inside)

• Teachers, support staff, parents: Free

 

30 minute Field Trip

• Recommended for ages 4-6

• Base Price: Up to 10 students: $55 +tax

• Additional students (15 max per class): $5.50 each +tax

• Topics are brief and summarized for a younger audience

• Teachers, support staff, parents: Free

A $50 deposit is required at the time of booking

All who attend must sign a waiver even if they are not visiting the bee yard.

Children must be accompanied by the appropriate number of adults (teachers/parents)
